FFI horses available for adoption have been donated to Friends of Ferdinand to ensure their safety and future. They are housed in private volunteer foster homes and supported by tax-deductible donations. These horses are not the same as horses available for purchase directly from the track. FFI horses have undergone extensive evaluation, and in some cases have started transitional training under saddle. Adopters are the most important part of horse rescue. Please visit our Horses Available page to learn more about the adoption process and perhaps one of our horses might find a home in your barn.

Purchase A Horse Off The Track through Track Listings

FFI volunteers visit the backsides of Hoosier Park and Indiana Downs during the race season. They take pictures and gather information about horses whose racing careers are ending  and their owners would like to find them  homes.  These horses are not owned by Friends of Ferdinand and are not for adoption.  They are available for private sale.  Visit our track-listings page and if there is a horse that interests you, please contact the owner/trainer directly at the name and phone number given for more information and to make an appointment to see the horse.
