Rocket has been shown at intro and training level dressage never placing below 2nd place. He is doing incredibly well and is ready to move on to a new home. Many thanks to Rob Stokes for this photo of Rocket from a recent show at Foxton Farm. More information on Rocket is available here.
Rocket participated in the Foxton Farms Dressage Schooling show on May 1. This is his second show, and his first training level test. Rocket is a very nice horse and deserves a great home. He was quiet, agreeable and on task in the busy, new surroundings at the show - as though he had been going to shows all his life! His stature, movement and ability will make him a wonderful dressage or pleasure riding horse. His gentle fun-loving character will make him a charming companion. He also does well on group trail rides, with enough spunk to keep things interesting, but overall, is willing, happy, brave and smart! Read more about Rocket here.
We have recently received some updates from a couple of our adopters on their horses and what they're up to. They included photos, so we thought we'd share so that you can also see what is going on with former FFI horses. These are horses that were in our program and were adopted to new homes.

Icee's Rocket
On Friday, April 9, Saribel Cruz (aka Flirt), a Friends of Ferdinand horse who was supported by the Tony Stewart Foundation debuted with new owners at the Hoosier Horse Fair in the Nick Karizissis Hunter/Jumper clinic. Flirt was ridden by Emily, a rider and trainer for Foxton Farm and was the only Thoroughbred in the ring during her 2 hour clinic. The three other horses were warmbloods and a paint/QH type. The clinician was aware that Flirt was relatively green and off the track, but he could not stop gushing over her. He loved her athletic ability and mentioned that in his opinion, Thoroughbreds were the best horse for the hunter/jumper ring because of their elasticity and athletic ability. He also cautioned that while Thoroughbreds are incredibly athletic, it is very important to make sure that they have solid basics on the flat before asking them to jump courses or big fences to ensure that they are not overfaced.
