Friends of Ferdinand provides assistance to Triple Fax (pictured here), a nine year-old thoroughbred with 100 starts and is still sound.  Without intervention, this war-house was slaughter-bound.

We also accept Unbridled Soldier and a little guy we call Joe into our adoption program.

Highway Hero and Swift Road say goodbye to their foster homes and thanks to FFI volunteers and supporters, have been adopted into loving and caring homes.

Friends of Ferdinand is awarded funding and recognition from After The Finish-Line, a new funding non-profit for thoroughbred racehorses. We would like to thank After the Finish-Line for their support and encouragement. This grant will enable Friends of Ferdinand to provide the necessary rehabilitative care for several thoroughbreds that are currently in our program!

As Himself arrives in his foster home from Penn National racetrack just in-time for Christmas! Rescuers from several states and The RaceFund networked on Ace's behalf to get him to FFI safe and sound!

November 2007

Friends of Ferdinand turns to the Fans of Barbaro for financial support. Four thoroughbreds were taken into our program on November 17th from the Hoosier Park end-of-season Paddock sale.  Without intervention, these horses would have had no opportunity for a second career.

Mynard Road, Jessica's Win, Storm Cellar and Highway Hero were provided refuge at a time when their futures were uncertain.
